Cycling in South west Wales

Narrowboats and cyclists on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal by Brynich Lock

The challenging Taff Trail cuts through South west Wales. Ambitious cyclists can rise to the 55-mile challenge, but the route could also be tackled in several easier to swallow stages. Spend some time exploring paths around Llwyn-On, a large reservoir surrounded by woodland in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Both the Dovey estuary and the River Teifi empty into Cardigan Bay – an attractive part of Wales and excellent cycling territory.

Beicio yn y De-orllewin

Llwybr sy’n cynnig cryn her i’r beiciwr yw Llwybr y Taf, ac mae’n arwain trwy’r de-orllewin. Gall beicwyr uchelgeisiol geisio cwblhau’r llwybr 55 milltir ar ei hyd, ond mae modd hefyd gwblhau’r daith fesul cam. Gallwch dreulio rhywfaint o amser yn darganfod y llwybrau o gwmpas Llwyn-On, cronfa dd?r fawr wedi’i hamgylchynu gan goetir yng nghanol Bannau Brycheiniog. Mae Aber Dyfi a’r Afon Teifi yn llifo i Fae Ceredigion, sy’n ardal hardd o Gymru ac yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer beicio.
