Owned by the Wildlife Trust, Loynton Moss spans 33 acres and is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It's typical of the types of meres and mosses to be found in this part of thecountry. The site has interpretation panels explaining thetypes of vegetation found here, which supports over 1,000 known species.
