Boating in Suffolk

Take a cruise along Suffolk’s River Stour and discover for yourself the beautiful landscapes immortalised by Constable. Though boaters have to carry their light craft around several obstacles en-route, this is a river worthy of exploration. Unspoilt villages, heathland and salt marshes filled with birdsong are your near-constant companions as you voyage from Mannintree to Sudbury. Aldeburgh and Orford are delightful places for the yachtsman to tie up and there are full boating facilities in Melton where the River Deben is busy with sailing boats.
