Right at the heart of the historic Galton Valley, the Heritage Centre offers visitors the opportunity to travel back into the past and see examples of fine architecture and engineering from the Industrial Revolution. The Heritage Centre is an introduction to the canals of the area, with displays, maps, artefacts and audio-visual exhibitions. Additionally the Smethwick Pumping Station, a wonderful feat of Victorian engineering, can be seen in its full glory. Whether your interests lie in canals, wildlife, industrial history or just walking in pleasant surroundings, Galton Valley has something to offer you!

Why not visit the new moorings on the Engine Arm, an ideal stop-over location for boaters visiting Birmingham City Centre or the attractions of the Black Country.
