Lapworth and Kingswood Junction

Warwickshire

The Lapworth Link is a short stretch of canal that links together the Grand Union and Stratford-on-Avon Canals, which pass close to each other here. The link takes just five minutes to walk.

The whole leafy area is full of canal character, including the British Waterways workshops and maintenance yard; the Lapworth Lock Flight; the distinctive lock cottages of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal, which have unusual barrel-shaped roofs. Facilities include an information centre, and water and rubbish disposal for boaters.

The Navigation Inn, on the Grand Union Canal at Bridge 65, is a popular watering hole with walkers and boaters, and serves good food. It is 400 yards north of the Lapworth Link's junction with the Grand Union.
