Avoncliff Aqueduct

Avoncliff is one of two fine aqueducts on the Kennet & Avon designed by John Rennie, the other being Dundas. Nearby is a canal bookshop, the Cross Guns pub and the Lock Inn Cottage cafe. Look out for the mason's marks on the new stone, added during recent restoration work, and consciously echoing the historic tradition.
