Sample the delights of Wadworth’s beers and discover the history and heritage of Wadworth brewing in this free visitor attraction.

An educational experience, the Wadworth Brewery Visitor Centre provides a fantastic insight into the Wadworth brewing process, and gives visitors the chance to understand all aspects of this busy, working brewery - from 1875 to present day.

The visitor centre features:

• Wadworth discovery - an exhibition into Wadworth history and heritage
• Interactive brewing process exhibition
• Wadworth brewing memorabilia
• An insight into ‘a year in the life of a Wadworth Shire Horse’
• Products created from the fair hand of the UK’s only Master Brewery Cooper

*Wadworth ales are available to sample in the on-site bar, beer tokens can be purchased and exchanged for 1/3 pint tasters, with soft drinks and coffee also available.

Guided Tours

Day-time guided tours of the Wadworth Brewery are available most week days at 11am and 2pm and Saturdays at 10.30am and 1.30pm. To book, visit the website. The tours will start and end in the visitor centre and include the following:

• Guided tour of the Wadworth brewery buildings
• Demonstration of the master art of Coopering*
• Visit to the Shire Horse Stables*
• Sign writing demonstration*
• Sampling session in the visitor centre bar
• Opportunity to purchase exclusive Wadworth gifts and souvenirs.

Group visits

Devizes, the heart of Wadworthshire, is an ideal venue for a group outing. In addition to the visitor centre experience, the Wadworth Shire Horses can be visited in their stables between 1.30pm and 3pm Monday to Friday (or by prior appointment for parties of 10 or more).

Lunch can be arranged in one of Wadworth’s many pubs, and full and half day group itineraries including visits to other popular local attractions are available from Devizes Tourist Information Centre – Tel: 01380 734669.

Free coach parking is available on request in advance of your visit.

Wadworth shop

The brewery shop is located within the visitor centre, and stocks a wide range of beers, clothing and gifts. Gift vouchers are also available.

Important information
The brewery is a Victorian tower with steep stairs, narrow corridors and uneven floors and may prove difficult for some visitors. The brewery is unsuitable for wheelchairs. Sensible clothing and footwear is recommended. Soft drinks are available if preferred and for visitors under the age of 18. Due to health and safety enforcements children under the age of 12 are not permitted on the brewery tour.
