Upton upon Severn
Located in the heart of Worcestershire, Upton upon Severn charms visitors with its colourful marina and historic half-timbered buildings.
As the name suggests, this pleasant market town is perched on the banks of the River Severn.
Once a well-known inland port, Upton upon Severn is now achieving recognition as a hot spot for art and music. Tourists flock here in the summer months to catch the colourful Folk Festival, the buzzing Jazz festival and, pertinently, the Upton Water Festival which takes place in August and pays tribute to the River Severn.
Walking around Upton upon Severn
Walkers can follow the winding path of the River Severn through Malvern countryside all the way to Worcester. There are numerous waterside pubs to slake your thirst en-route – and for the less energetic visitor, regular boat-trips run up and down-river from Upton upon Severn. Sit back and see the sights from a different perspective from the comfort of your chauffeured boat.
