Surrounded by beautiful Bronte country, Bradford is a fine Yorkshire town with a wealth of waterway attractions nearby.

Visit the Victorian town of Saltaire on the banks of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, and marvel at the art collection in Salts Mill. Or take a stroll around Bradford itself and discover the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and the stunning Alhambra theatre.

The countryside around Bradford is a walker’s paradise. Canal buffs can find much to interest them on a stroll along the Calder & Hebble Navigation and the adjoining Huddersfield Broad Canal is also popular with local walking groups. The Rochdale Canal towpath provides perhaps the easiest way to walk the Pennine Hills. Its relaxed gradient enables you to penetrate deep into the heart of the hills without donning full hill-walking gear.
