Leeds Waterfront

Yorkshire

The area around Clarence Dock on the Aire & Calder Navigation is a good spot from which to explore Leeds itself. On the waterside here, you'll find the huge national collection of arms and armour, the Royal Armouries Museum; also Tetley's Brewery, offering brewery tours.

Beyond the waterside, Leeds' striking Victorian centre is compact and very walkable. Other attractions include the Leeds Art Gallery with its special focus on the sculpture of Henry Moore, a thriving theatre scene, and plenty of opportunities for retail therapy, as well as numerous bars and restaurants. The area around the junction of the Aire & Calder Navigation and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, also in the city centre, has been extensively regenerated and includes a craft centre at Granary Wharf.
