The historic coaching inn has been serving and entertaining the public for more than 500 years.
Fully restored and still attracting a loyal customer base, the King's Head occupies a central position off Market Square in Aylesbury. Architectural features such as exposed timber framing, a cobbled courtyard and the original stable block add to the period charm. The large mullioned window contains stained glass from the reign of Henry VI and is of particular historic interest.
Of course, the usual attractions of any first-rate public house - good ale, good food and good company - abound in full, and the King's Head is also a popular venue for live jazz/folk music and regular summer beer festivals. An award winning ale or glass of fine wine in the medieval bar frequented by gentleman and highwaymen in 1455 is a grand way to end your day.
