Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway

Here's your chance to see the best of the lovely Banwy Valley, and all its interesting flora and fauna. Take a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway, perhaps on one of their turn of the century, open-balconied Austrian carriages.

This line was originally used to transport sheep, cattle and locally grown timber from Llanfair to Welshpool Canalside through the town centre, and is now run by a group of local enthusiasts.

And the children can have a great time too, riding on Thomas the Tank Engine or one of his friends.
