Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre

This purpose built centre situated on the outskirts of Norwich offers a range of courses and activities for both beginners and instructors.

‘Try It’ sessions mean that if you fancy giving an activity a go that you haven’t tried before, you can do so, under the watchful eye of fully qualified staff.

A ‘Play & Pay’ scheme means that you can book out equipment for the day and explore at your leisure. Qualified instructors will check you can use the craft safely and you can be on your way. Visitors can’t book craft in advance as they are allocated on a first come first served basis. Open canoes, windsurfers, topper / oppie among other things are available to ‘pay & play’ seven days a week.

The centre is also home to an abseil and climbing tower which is over six metres high and is suitable for lead climbing, top rope, multi-pitch, gear placement and abseiling. You can hire equipment with qualified instructors or, for those with more experience, independently.

A fully mobile skateboard park is available for sessions of up to 30 people. The park is available to hire for a minimum of one day and training is available for those who would like to hire the park independently.
