Welcome to Canalboat Holidays, founded in 1965 by Norman & Jenny Clarke, and still the same family run business today.

For a relaxing holiday in the English Countryside with a sense of adventure and achievement.

The company has a variety of boats which all come fully equipped ranging from 2 to 11 berth canalboats. The prices you see is the cost you pay, with no hidden extras. There is no extra charge for diesel fuel, car parking, bottled gas, bed linen or colour TV & video. Vat is also included. They are a 100% direct booking company, so there is also no agent's commission built into our prices. This can make an average saving of between £107 and £141 per week depending on the size of boat and the time of year.

All the boats have a 240 volt electrical supply. Microwave ovens in addition to the usual cookers (all of which have fiddle rails round to prevent pans sliding off). Electric toasters and proper 240 volt electric hairdryers. All the boats also have oil fired boilers which supplies constant and plentiful hot water (without the need to run the engine as is required on many boats) to all taps and shower plus heating large radiators when needed.

It is recommended you visit the boatyard of whichever company you choose as the standard of boats varies greatly. Boats are always available for viewing, in the Summer we recommend you call the office on 01327 340739 to check your chosen boat is in the boatyard.

The company is an RYA Recognized Teaching Establishment so you can be assured of the standards and the confidence you will have before you embark on your holiday. Or you may wish to acquire the Inland Helmsmans Certificate by completing a course.
