The first impression when you step on board an Alvechurch boat is of space and light. For people who have not been on a boat before, or have been on boats other than ours, the interior comes as a surprise. In fact, a succession of pleasant surprises awaits you.

When you unpack you'll find we have anticipated your storage needs, with plenty of wardrobes and drawer space on board, but it's when you start to live on board that our boats come into their own.

On a narrowboat, you are welcomed as part of the scenery, rather than just another tourist. Your whole holiday is at walking pace, there's time to savour the scenery, talk to people and get in touch with a more social type of lifestyle.

Alvechurch was the company's first boatyard, and despite the Birmingham address, they are based in a village in rural north Worcestershire, tucked between the Lickey Hills and the Forest of Arden.

For the first time boater, the most popular routes for a one week cruise are Stratford - upon - Avon and return, or the slightly more adventurous Stourport ring.

We offer:

  • Canal boat holidays
  • Boat hire
