This nature reserve includes rare inland salt marshes, a result of salt in the underlying rocks mixing with water from the River Salwarpe and the Droitwich Barge Canal.
This means that plants such as dittander, normally only found at the seaside, can grow here.
Visitors can walk a nature trail, which passes through grassland, scrub and coppice. Freshwater invertebrates such as dragonfly nymphs and water scorpions can be seen in the slow-moving waters of the canal.
