Camino has been created as a place to enjoy the life, vigour and tastes of Spain.
The team love travelling from one region of Spain to another along the ‘camino’ – the Spanish word for road, way or path – discovering the best local food and drinks. Many of the dishes are cooked on the vast charcoal grill they bought from Bilbao in northern Spain. Not only does the grill provide a wonderfully healthy way of eating, but the sheer flavour the charcoal gives to the food simply cannot be beaten.
It's flavour more than anything that they love about Spanish food. In the bar, they serve tapas, of course - the world's greatest bar food. So popular has tapas become that the term has been plagiarised so you hear phrases like 'global tapas', 'Asian tapas' and so on. All very flattering to the Spanish, of course, but only tapas are tapas!
The style of cooking is simple, honest and authentic, allowing the flavours of the natural ingredients speak for themselves.
