Get Knotted
Get Knotted is a family run business situated by the side of the Grand Union canal in Warwick. Alan and Monica have built up the business over the past 10 years, the mainstay being ropes and fenders for narrowboats, but recently we have begun to diversify.
Fenders are made in the traditional way using all new materials, the core being made up of coils of thick rope to give good durability, and then covered in your choice of rope. The basic illustrated price list gives the standard sizes but it is quite feasible to change these or even work to your own specifications. Please dont hesitate to contact us if you wish to discuss your needs. If you fancy having "a go" yourself, a comprehensive book called The Fender Book, by Colin Jones, is available at £9.95 or as a kit including all the rope needed to make the side fender illustrated in the book; it costs £14.95.
Get Knotted can now offer all the ropes that you may need for your home or garden including ropes for fencing, garden features, ropes to go round decking, bannister and barrier ropes or knots to go on top of posts as shown in the photos.
There are so many types of ropes and twines that is impossible for us to stock them all, we will, however, attempt to fulfil your needs and match samples that are sent to us if at all possible.
We also have a good range of nautical giftware, some of which is on show at the workshop in Warwick. They can also be seen when we are attending shows around the country where we display either the boat or the home and gardening range of goods. Please watch our website for information about these venues.
