Gloucester Docks

Gloucester
Gloucestershire
GL1 2EH

The once derelict port of Gloucester Docks is now a vibrant retail, leisure and residential area, including a 50-berth marina equally popular with fibreglass river cruisers and narrowboats. Architecturally, the Victorian port is highly significant including the Mariners Church and the 14 warehouses - now listed buildings.

The docks are home to the National Waterways Museum (01452 318200) which contains the British Waterways National Collection, a shop and cafe. The museum also offers short boat trips. Other leisure attractions you will find dockside include shops and restaurants, the Regiments of Gloucester Museum, and the Antique Centre. Elsewhere in Gloucester there is the famous cathedral, the City Museum & Art Gallery, Prison Museum and Folk Museum.
