British Waterways Scotland has closed part of the canal between Kerrs Bridge No 42 and Manse Road Bridge No 43 at Linlithgow, for a detailed inspection following the deterioration of a very localised area of the canal embankment.

BW Scotland staff and engineers are currently inspecting the embankment along this stretch of canal. The towpath remains open but the canal is closed to navigation for what we anticipate will be a short period of time.
