Is Date Flexible?: All stoppages on the Shropshire Union Canal to take place post Christmas. Stoppage Rationale is to maintain a North - South route during the stoppage season. Hence Manchester and Pennines Waterway and Central Shires Waterway are not planning to undertake stoppages on the Trent and Mersey Canal (up to the junction with the Coventry Canal) post Christmas.
