UPDATE (21 February 2012): The de-watered sections of canal in this area now extend from:
Bridge 72 to Bridge 69 until March 9th. Wind upstream at Goytre Wharf.
Bridge 66 to bridge 55. Stoppage for the replacement of Bridge 61 until 16th March and additional work to stabilise the parapets on Bridge 64. Note It is the intention to commence re-watering of this section of canal on the 9th March therefore should water resources be available it may be possible to open earlier than the 16th

UPDATE (21 February 2012): Engineering investigations following de-watering have identified additional work to the ‘wet’ abutments of bridges along this section of canal necessitating an extension of the current stoppage until 9 March. In addition, urgent work has been identified at Bridge 70 necessitating an extension to the de-watered section of canal. ----------------------------------------------------

UPDATE (21 February 2012): This stoppage has been extended until 9th March 2012. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. ----------------------------------------------------

Brickwork repairs to both the bridge and wet abbuttments.
