Reasons for work:

  • repair
UPDATE (16 February 2012): Following the commencement of works to the bridge and the removal of the road surface.
A full assessment of the underlying structure has highlighted that more substantial repairs are required to the beams which carry the road surface.
This involves their removal from site to a specialist contractor and return.
This has led to the need to extend the stoppage period.
