UPDATE (29 March 2012): This maintenance has now been completed. British Waterways apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Contractors working for British Waterways will be carrying out essential maintenance works at the named locations.

For the duration of the works the canal advertised depth of 3.05m will be available. However, owners of boats over 2.75m draught should contact British Waterways at Gloucester prior to movement of the vessel for specific instructions. As with all works in the canal, boaters are requested to approach the area with caution and sound an audible warning.

British Waterways wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused and kindly request boaters to plan their journeys accordingly.
