Stoppage: Semington Dry Docks

From 30/01/2012 to 09/03/2012

UPDATE (23 January 2012): The stoppage previously indicated to commence at Semington (Semingotn Lock 15 to Harris Lock 16) on Monday 23rd January 2012, involving the lowering of the water levels, has now been moved back and will now commence as of Monday 30th January with completion on 9th March 2012.
There will be a window for craft to navigate through to Seend flight on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th February. BW apologise for any inconvenience caused during the these essential works.

Due to essential works planned at Semington Dry Dock, a stoppage and dewatering of the canal will be required to enable the works to be completed with the minimum impact to our users, the canal will be dewatered between Lock 15 Semington and Lock 16 Harris Lock. The duration of the stoppage will be seven weeks commencing as from Monday 23rd January 2012 with completion anticipated by Friday 9th March 2012, during this time the towpath will remain open to users.
