UPDATE (07 February 2012): Upon further investigation we have found extensive damage to the quoin anchor point and will have to carry out extensive repairs. Unfortunately, taking these repairs into account the lock will remain closed until Friday 10/02/2012.

The quoin on the top gate has become detached from the wall and over the summer it has steadily worsened, therefore we are taking the opportunity to carry out repairs while major stoppage works are taking place at lock 10.
