UPDATE (09 March 2012): Bascote Lock 17 is now open to navigation as of 2:45pm Friday 9th March 2012.

Due to ongoing drought conditions, we will be carrying out additional winter stoppage works at Bascote Lock 17. These works are required to reduce water losses through the gates and paddles and are necessary to try to conserve water for the main 2012 summer boating season.

Works will take place between 27 February and 9 March 2012.
