There is always something to keep you entertained on a canal holiday; get involved with route planning, driving, fishing, wildlife spotting, and exploring the masses of waterside villages, towns, and pubs on offer. Let's not forget that many of Britain's canals and rivers flow through some of its biggest cities, as well as its most rural and beautiful countryside.
In fact, there is no better way to appreciate the beautiful British countryside than to cruise by on a narrowboat or barge. There are also thousands of great tourist attractions you could potentially pass by or over, from ancient castles and aqueducts, to modern amusement parks and nature reserves, so you won't get bored.
