Whilst narrowboats and barges can be extraordinarily comfortable and spacious that doesn't mean they can carry everything but the kitchen sink! Canal boats are efficiently designed with enough storage to fit everything you and your family will need, but like any holiday it just makes things easier if you don't have mountains of stuff to pack and unpack.
