This takes you from the centre of Cleator Moor to the Egremont link at Moor Row and then with sections of off/road and quiet back roads to the north of Egremont.
From the Keekle End of Cleator Moor the ex rail route gives vast views of farm land spotted with Industrial Heritage. Some sections of road route past an extinct mining village of Guttersby ends in bushed cutting at Christy Bridge at the North of Egremont.

1. Cleator Moor to Egremont
The route starts at Bowthorn Road junction and leads through heavily grassed areas to the Egremont turn off junction near Moor Row ex railway station. The junction to Egremont of the Coast to Coast route leads over farm land to near Cleator Vicarage. The Coast to Coast walk crosses the route and goes on to the village of Cleator past its vicarage and cricket club. The off road route comes out onto the quiet road between Moor Row and Wood End, close to where there was the mining village of Guttersby. The road route at Wood End goes back to the off road section at Clints Brow Quarry. After crossing the A5086 by Newbridge the route enters Egremont area in a deep bushed cutting to Christy Bridge which allows entry to North Egremont by road.
