Circular route from: Devizes
A varied route starting at the popular market town of Devizes.
1. Devizes From the centre of Devizes follow the signs to Devizes Wharf. Join the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath in the direction of Honey Street. Stay on the canal until Coate Road Bridge, follow Sustrans Route 4 to the crossroad turn left for Little Horton and follow this road back to the canal. On the bridge (by the Bridge Inn), turn right for Horton.
2. Horton Continue through Horton and climb up the Hill crossing the canal. You will pass Allington village, stay on the top road and continue round the bends and up again. At the next junction turn right for All Cannings and go down the hill and over the canal again.
3. All Cannings Pass by All Cannings and continue to the next junction turning right, back on to Sustrans Route 4 for Etchilhampton. After the post office turn right for Coate and go up the steep hill. From the top of the hill both the Devizes and Alton Barnes White Horses can be seen. From Coate follow the Route 4 signs back to the towpath and then follow the towpath back to Devizes.
