The section is good for practising the art of gate opening and closing! It's a pretty little route bringing you into the bustling centre of "Drum".

From the start in Bark Sheds, the first gate comes quickly into sight. Go through it and bear left onto an old, but wide, track. Pass through the next gate keeping the wire fence on your left. On your right hand side, as you go forward, is a white fronted house a little way off. You soon come to a burn and a crude bridge over it. Just a few steps now to the next gate. Turn left again onto a red shale road, This takes you up past a red roofed house on your left and the road drops down and up to another gate. The last gate is just in front of you. Through this one and you're on a narrow, hard surfaced road.

There are some picnic tables on your left as you turn right. The road rises for a little way but you're only a couple of miles from Drumnadrochit now. As the road starts to ascend you pass a Kennels and Cattery on your left. You're now just a mile from the centre of "Drum", all down hill. Take care on this narrow, twisting road.

At the crossroads turn left over the river and make your way into "Drum".
