This is just a short stretch witha glimpse of Loch Ness and "Cherry Island" on your right.

You leave Fort Augustus on the very busy A82(T) past the garage/store on your left and start to climb very gently. The road is single carriageway but there are some handy grass verges in case of emergencies.

Soon you arrive at the welcoming Forest Enterprise sign - Allt na Criche, Great Glen Cycle Route.

Getting there

Parking: There's parking at both Fort Augustus and Allt na Criche.

Public transport: Transport links are good.
