Five walks introduce you to an area teeming with history. The region has a level towpath, gentle hills and short, steeper climbs. Each walk has its own waymarkers to guide you.

The Welford Arm of the Grand Union Canal's Leicester Line is one of the best-kept secrets of the waterways. Built as a water feeder, this wooded canal leads to the unspoilt village of Welford and its historic wharf.

This leaflet suggests several circular walks, all starting from Welford Wharf. You can download the full-colour leaflet here and print off your own copy. It's a PDF file, so you'll need Adobe Reader (Windows) or Apple Preview (Mac) to open it. The file is 300k in size and may take a few minutes to download if you have a dial-up Internet connection.
