How much history can you handle? This walk along the Cromford Canal is a must for all lovers of great architecture and the Industrial Revolution.

The northernmost section of the Cromford Canal has been restored and is deservedly popular with walkers. This walk will take you along this pleasant section, past the historic High Peak workshops and the Leawood Pump-House, to the aqueduct over the River Dove.

If you enjoy this walk, consider joining the Friends of the Cromford Canal. This local group is working to restore the remainder of the canal, connecting it with the waterway network at Langley Mill.
