Continue to walk east along the towpath of the River Trent. You will pass the Grantham Canal which runs for 33 miles passing through the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. The towpath will lead you to Holme Lock. Here, you will notice the Colwick Country Park on your left. The park offers facilities for football, fishing and baseball. To your right is the National Watersports Centre and you can hire bikes nearby to this. Also close by is Holme Pierrepont Hall, which is thought to be one of Britain's oldest Brick buildings.
