Tring Reservoirs is an important area as the clear and mineral-rich waters, reed-beds and nearby woodland attract a wealth of plants, insects, bats, fish and large populations of breeding, wintering and migrating birds. This walk, one of 3 walks around the reservoirs, will delight you as you investigate this beautiful Site of Special Scientific Interest, as well as the entire six miles of the Wendover Arm.

The route briefly follows the top of Startop's End Reservoir, and then takes you on the path imbetween Startop's End Reservoir and Marsworth Reservoir. At the bottom take a right imbetween Startop's End and Tringford Reservoirs and then turn left to take you alongside Tringford Reservoir heading towards the end of the Wendover Arm.

At the Wendover Arm take a left turn onto the towpath and follow the Arm all the way to its junction with the Grand Union canal, at the top of Marsworth Locks. Turn left following the Grand Union towpath and the flight down the hill until you get back to the car park where you started.
