This easy towpath route alongside the Grand Union Canal is a picturesque walk with much wildlife along the way. You'll pass by a number of locks, as well as the Cowroast Inn where farmers would stop off on their way to the London markets with their cattle, and Tring Cutting which was a major feat of engineering when it was completed in 1797.

Starting at the railway station, follow Station Road to Bridge 141 and descend here onto the towpath. Follow the towpath all the way to Bridge 135 right by Tring railway station.
