The Devizes Locks Discovery Trail is one of several along the Kennet & Avon Canal, a National Waterway Walk. The route follows public rights of way. You will pass along the impressive Caen Hill flight of 29 locks, regarded as one of the wonders of the inland waterways.

From Devizes Wharf, walk down Couch Lane, turning right into New Park Street and right at the end into Northgate Street until you hit Town Bridge over the Canal. Descend onto the towpath and follow it all the way down, past the Caen Hill flight of locks. Keep going until you reach the bottom of the flight at Lower Foxhangers.

Then simply turn around and walk back the way you came.
