A very varied walk, taking you through a nature reserve, over open marshland, along reed beds and through woodland. Starts from Potter Heigham on the River Thurne in the northern Broads.

1. Take the footpath opposite the end of Lathems car park, leading you onto the Middle Wall. Moorings are available next to the river. If starting your walk from here you may wish to take the alternative riverside beginning.2. Turn left at the end, onto the Weavers' Way, To the right is Heigham Sound and to the left is woodland.3. Take the path to the left, through woodland and across an arable field.4. Follow Church Lane, around the church and ont to Marsh Road. Follow the road to the end.5. The final stage of the walk brings you back on to Middle Wall and back to the car park.

Getting there

Parking: Parking is available at Latham's car park where the route starts.

Public transport: The walk is easily accessible by car off the A419 between Stalham and Rollesby.
