This is a short walk along the River Tove in the village of Cosgrove. Panels along the route will inform you of the local history and wildlife.

Getting there

Parking: Walkers are asked to park with consideration. There are cycle locks at the Navigation Inn, Cosgrove.

Public transport: Regular bus services run from Milton Keynes and Northampton to Cosgrove.

 

Waypoints

1. Cosgrove Lodge Hotel to Navigation Inn

This walk begins at the Cosgrove Lodge Hotel. You will need to begin by following the footpath northeast, passing St. Vincent's Well whilst heading towards The Priory and the River Tove. Cross the river and turn north-west to follow the footpath to the road. Turn west and walk along the road to the Navigation Inn.

2. Navigation Inn to Cosgrove Lodge Hotel

From the pub, follow the canal towpath south into Cosgrove where you will pass the Ornamental Bridge. At the Barley Mow, cross under the canal via the Horse Tunnel and turn east along Main Street and you will arrive at the hotel where you began.
