Circular route from: 'The Boat Inn', Gnosall Village
This short walk criss-crosses the canal and shows you some of the neighbouring countryside to Gnosall. Stroll at your leisure and enjoy the tranquillity of the area.
From 'The Boat Inn' on Wharf Road, cross over the canal bridge and turn left into Quarry Lane, passing the old quarry on your left. Continue along the lane until you reach the T-junction, turn right over the top of the tunnel through the kissing gate onto footpath no. 93.
Keep the wood to your left until you reach the kissing gate into the next field. Still keeping the wood on your left carry onto the bottom and another kissing gate.
Onto Fanlizard Lane turn left onto Cowley Lane over the canal bridge to the farm on the right. Climb over the stile into the field on the left opposite the farm entrance, crossing the field to the wood. Then follow the wood on your left along the edge of the field to the top of the field through the kissing gate onto Quarry Lane. Turn left and follow the Lane back to the canal bridge near 'The Boat Inn'.
