Scenic Walk in Gnosall No 3

This scenic route follows the canal for half the time, then takes you around Cowley.

From the car park walk down the ramp onto the towpath turning right along the gravel path. After the double road bridge the path becomes grass then hardcore, leading you under the Estate bridge and on, to the Wood Eaton Road bridge.

Pass under this bridge them up the steep ramp, turning left along the road to the T-junction, then right here along Cowley Lane back to Cowley. If you then take the second right off here you will find yourself back at the car park.

Getting there

Parking: Parking (and the start of the walk) can be found by turning right off Cowley Lane signposted Cowley. A short ramp takes you from there to the canal's towpath.

Public transport: By car Gnosall is easily accessible from major routes.
