A walk in the Bure Valley from the village of Stokesby, not far from Acle, in the centre of the Broads. A particularly interesting walk for its wildlife.

1. From the car park head towards the pub and turn left up Ferry Lane.2. You now pass through three fields. Cut straight across the first field and follow the paths around the other two.3. You now enter an area of carr woodland. The mixture of trees and shrubs is good for wildlife.4. This stretch of the walk takes you on part of the Muck Fleet, the main draining dyke for the surrounding marshes. Look out for birds in the reed and sedge.5. After crossing New Road, the path winds and tunnels through old hedgerows of hawthorn, sycamore and elder. Look for wild flowers here in the spring.6. The path now brings you back to the River Bure, passing the new pumping station and the old wind pump.
