The Teesdale Way is a well established national footpath that follows the course of the River Tees, through 100 miles of remote moors and beautiful countryside.
Although the length may seem daunting, the walk is not hard and does not have to be completed all at once. Sections of the Teesdale Way can be adapted into shorter circular walks, or take advantage of the local bus services and make up your own linear walk.
Teesdale is not as well known for beauty as it should be, but its rugged moors, magnificent waterfalls and abundance of wildflowers cut a striking picture for any ramblers passing through. Be sure to stop and admire the quaint villages of Egglestone and Romaldkirk, and the market town of Barnard Castle.
