Wigglywalks - Great Bedwyn to Hungerford

An easy to follow 12km walk featuring a mixture of field boundaries, bridleways and canal towaths.

Starting at Great Bewyn, follow the Kennet & Avon Canal to Cobbler's Lock. At Cobbler's Lock, turn off the towpath and follow the field boundary to the right.

Cross the railway, talking care, and enter the next fields following the track down the hill. After approximately 200m turn left following the public footpath sign. Follow the footpath signs across the road and along the side of the field.

Continue straight on past the two cross roads and follow the path between the two copses. To the right are Lady's and Stype Woods. There are many fine walks through the woods, including a long beech walk.

Continue along the field to Standen Farm, go straight on through the farm and past Standen Manor. After the manor, turn left over the stile and cross the field. Cross another stile and follow the field boundary. At the end of the field go through the gap in the hedge and follow the footpath back to the road. Turn right and follow the road back to Hungerford.
