The Cairnbaan Cup and Ring Markings dating back to the Iron Age are just a short five minute walk from the Cairnbaan Hotel, which was built in the 18th Century and featured in the famous television series ‘The Tales of Para Handy’.

Groups of decorated rock outcroppings can be found on high ground near the hotel, one distinctive feature to look out for is the series of conjoined multiple-ringed cups. An information board provides further details about the markings.
