A short circular walk which takes in many of the sights and lovely views of this historic town.

1. Start

Start point, walking route: A walk around Topsham

2. Ferry port to Monmouth House

From the ferry port you must turn right along Ferry Road, pass the 18th century Passage House Inn and take the next road on the left. From Fore Street turn right along Topsham's main street until you reach White Street. At the far end of White Street head left and then turn immediately right down a narrow passage. At the end of the passage turn right and cross the footbridge over Holman Road. Monmouth House, on Monmouth Street, is straight ahead.

3. Back to the ferry port

Turn left up Monmouth Street, go right at the top of the hill and follow Bowling Green Road until you reach the estuary at Riversmeet. Take the right turn along Goat Walk and then go straight ahead to follow the Strand. Pass by the Leighter Inn at Topsham Quay then bear left and follow ferry Road back to the port.
