Breydon Water

Between Burgh Castle and Yarmouth the River Yare passes through Breydon Water, a wide tidal estuary with origins more associated with the sea than peat extraction.

The 5km expanse is home to a Nature Reserve under the management of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) that's of international importance to migratory birds. The Weaver's Way follows Breydon's northern banks. For holiday boaters it is the link between the northern rivers (Ant, Bure and Thurne) with the southern waters (Chet, Waveney and Yare).
