Crummock Water is two and a half miles long, three quarters of a mile wide and 140ft deep. Its location between various lakes and with the fells to the east, make it a wonderful sight to see.

One of the feeders into the lake is, with a drop of 170ft, the tallest waterfall in the District, namely Scale Force. Activities include boating and rowing, or if you prefer, take your time in a canoe.

Crummock Water is owned by the National Trust.
